Preterm Birth

AKOA1 supplementation during pregnancy contributes to a healthier omega-6/omega-3 balance and reduces the production of pro-inflammatory prostaglandins. In response to inflammatory stimuli such as IL-1β, DHA decreases the expression of key prostaglandin-synthesizing enzymes (mPGES-1 and mPGES-2) in decidual cells, thereby reducing the production of PGE₂ and PGFα.

Since PGE₂ and PGFα are critical for increasing intracellular calcium levels and stimulating myometrial contractions, their suppression helps maintain uterine quiescence. Therefore, sufficient DHA levels contribute to supporting full-term pregnancy and reducing the risk of preterm birth.

MASH

AD64 is proposed to exert therapeutic effects in Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatohepatitis (MASH) through the modulation of key intracellular signaling pathways.

AD64 is designed to address multiple pathogenic processes associated with metabolic dysfunction and hepatic injury

1 Inhibits De Novo Lipogenesis
2 Increases Mitochondrial Beta-Oxidation
3 Increases Lipolysis
4 Improves Insulin sensitivity

7 Reduces Extracellular Matrix Deposition and Fibrosis
8 Reduces Body fat

ADHD

DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid) plays a crucial role in neurodevelopment and neurotransmission, and its deficiency has been linked to ADHD. DHA supports the formation and function of neuronal membranes, enhancing synaptic plasticity and communication between neurons. It also has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, which help protect the brain from oxidative stress and inflammation that can disrupt cognitive functions.

Additionally, DHA supports healthy brain function by enhancing dopamine signaling, promoting the expression of Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF), and supporting neurogenesis and synaptogenesis. These effects strengthen the neural pathways involved in attention, behavior regulation, and cognitive performance, making DHA a valuable therapeutic support in managing ADHD symptoms.
